These iterations are inspired by the Moncler bottle, suggesting rugged functionality, with some sense of a fashion product. In the future, it is likely that sensors will surpass the need for a conventional optical lens, but it was mandated in the design brief to include a recognizable “eye”. The design of futuristic things often require a rooting in what is most relatable to us today.
In contrast to the previous designs, this set attempts to be more of a fashion product, its function hidden, but still evocative of a device for exploration
PLANET
Inspired by the depiction of the cosmos in Terrence Malick’s “Tree of Life”, we sought to imbue the design with an organic quality, suggesting reproduction in a cosmic amniotic environment.
